MISSIONS UNDER THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUSINESS PROJECT MANAGER / WORKS MANAGER:
Preparing the building site
- Become familiar with the building site (kick-off meeting, contractual documents, technical execution file, site visit, SQE guidelines, etc.).
- Identify the service limits.
- Help define the specific operating procedures.
- Participate in the risk analysis (health and safety protection / prevention plan, prevention plan, building site environment, etc.).
- Help establish the task monitoring plan and the monitoring plan.
- Establish the procurement outlays (equipment, supplies, materials and / or tools).
- Break down the scheduling of activities into tasks to be performed.
- Propose options, alternatives and optimizations in the operating procedures.
- Identify the necessary human and material resources.
- Prepare the remote site (offices, storage, sanitary facilities, etc.).
Managing the building site
- Pass on the guidelines and objectives to the personnel involved (organization, performance lead times, use of equipment).
- Organize the supply of materials, including personal and collective protection equipment, the locations of machinery, and the storage areas.
- Schedule the activity and resources, assign the tasks to personnel.
- Adhere to the construction file.
- Ensure that the QHSE procedures, rules and preventive measures are complied with and passed on.
- Analyze accidents / incidents and risks, and define appropriate preventive measures.
- Prepare and implement the QSSE (preventive, corrective) action plan.
- Ensure the follow-up of the schedule and worktime budget, and propose solutions in case of any deviation.
- Verify the compliance of the construction execution (by internal employees, sub-contractors, service providers, etc.) in line with the construction documents.
- Create and / or validate the administrative files (clocking-in, transfer slips, work authorizations, permits, etc.) and the intervention reports, assessments, etc.
- Suggest actions to be carried out based on the information gathered (quotes, contract amendments, etc.).
- Report on the building site activity to your superiors (progress, deviation in costs and lead times, human, technical and material resources, client feedback and security, etc.).
- Provide technical support to operative personnel.
- Take part in building site meetings.
- Coordinate your work with all of the building site’s players (engineering office, activity management, business project manager, other building trades, etc.).
- Represent the company in relation to the client, sub-contractors, suppliers and local residents.
- Manage actions required to resolve deviations (including obtaining the works completion certificate).
- Participate in the reception of the installation with the client (OPR - operations prior to reception).
- Participate in feedback sessions to improve processes.
Managing the teams
- Welcome newcomers (employees, temporary workers).
- Ensure skills transfer within the team.
- Conduct individual and/or professional appraisal interviews.
