Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Project & Lab Management
The Systems Biomedicine group led by Anaïs Baudot in the Marseille Medical Genetics Unit (MMG, Inserm – Aix*Marseille University), has an opening for a computational lab manager position. Our team develops numeric approaches to better understand human diseases, with expertise in multi-omics and multi-modal data integration, network and knowledge graphs, and application to rare genetic diseases (https://www.marseille-medical-genetics.org/en/a-baudot/).
The computational lab manager position aims to contribute to an ambitious project focused on developing digital twins of organoids. Organoids are in-vitro 3D models of organs and tissues that capture key properties of their physiological counterparts. Digital twins will allow us to simulate and predict organoid behavior, combining experimental data with computational modeling to create powerful new tools for biomedical research.
We are seeking a team member for a dual role that combines bioinformatics expertise with laboratory management, with flexibility between the roles depending on the project stages. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to computational biology projects (e.g., data analysis, modeling, software development) while supporting the operational success of our research team. The ideal candidate combines computational skills with a service-oriented mindset and is interested in expanding from bioinformatics analysis and tool development to laboratory and project management.
