JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing and Communications Manager is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers. Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communication, this role promotes on-brand messaging through traditional, digital, and social media channels to enhance the hotel's image. Responsibilities include building marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activating channels to drive awareness, market share, and brand recognition, with a focus on Food and Beverage promotions for hotel guests and locals. The role involves collaboration with regional teams to ensure marketing efforts are integrated with sales strategies, balancing traditional and digital marketing, and supporting PR activities. Success is measured by sales impact, social media engagement, and resource utilization for compelling campaigns.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field, with 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related areas; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.
- OR
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field, with 2 years of relevant experience; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Hotel Marketing and Advertising
- Execute annual marketing plans within budget, collaborating with senior management and regional teams.
- Partner with operational and sales teams to implement promotional campaigns targeting in-house guests for incremental revenue.
- Coordinate with advertising agencies on creative and media plans, especially for F&B promotions.
- Manage F&B media schedules and ensure timely account settlements.
- Work with Revenue Management to ensure accurate offer loading and targeted advertising.
- Implement email marketing and digital advertising strategies.
- Engage with regional eCommerce teams to align online initiatives.
- Ensure digital advertising aligns with brand voice.
Social Media Content Management
- Manage social media engagement and content updates on digital channels, including the hotel website and travel sites.
- Develop and execute digital campaigns for F&B, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences.
- Manage online reputation by monitoring and responding to guest comments.
Public Relations and Visual Asset Management
- Create quarterly PR plans and coordinate with agencies for execution.
- Maintain media contacts, especially food critics and bloggers.
- Write and distribute press releases for events and promotions.
- Organize hotel events, community relations, and press activities.
- Coordinate photography and manage visual assets ensuring brand consistency.
Direct Marketing and Collateral Development
- Coordinate production of printed materials and manage collateral inventory.
- Assist with signage and promotional materials, ensuring brand standards.
- Collect and review competitors' collateral monthly.
General
- Support all communication activities, focusing on F&B promotions and campaigns.
- Assist with hotel newsletter publication.
- Ensure website and digital content are regularly updated.
- Collaborate with sales and revenue teams to report marketing performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitors’ marketing efforts.
