This position is based in the Firm’s global operations center in Brandon, FL (Tampa Bay area).

Description:

We are seeking a Compensation Senior Analyst to join our team. The Compensation Senior Analyst works with Human Resources and other Firm leadership on compensation-related projects and analysis that support the Firm’s compensation strategy and programs across its domestic and international offices. This position functions as a compensation subject matter expert; provides strategic and tactical support regarding compensation programs and practices; evaluates compensation practices against the competitive marketplace; and makes program recommendations. This position reports to the Director of Compensation. This position offers a hybrid schedule, providing flexibility to work from home or the office. Currently, this role requires weekly in-office attendance, as well as participation in occasional team meetings, training sessions, and firm-sponsored events.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Under the direction of the Compensation Director, administer the Firm’s varied compensation processes. This includes non-partner, paralegal, and staff compensation annual increase and bonus reviews.
  • Makes recommendations regarding salary and bonus targets, analyzes and evaluates compensation recommendations.
  • Analyze competitive market data to provide pay and level recommendations for all open and newly created positions.
  • Utilize the Firm’s market pricing compensation tool (Payfactors) to ensure compensation matches and benchmarks are current.
  • Serve as a compensation subject matter expert (SME) to the HR team in all areas of compensation.
  • Prepare responses to compensation surveys for benchmarking, budgeting, and industry trends.
  • Leverage and maintain the Firm’s market pricing compensation tool to help inform compensation decisions.
  • Facilitate the annual merit and bonus processes, to include non-partner, paralegal, and staff compensation annual increase and bonus reviews.
  • Assist with position description updates and job classification process to ensure consistency throughout the Firm. Determine job classification for newly-created positions, including FLSA, and salary grade.
  • Consult with managers and HR leadership on pay recommendations.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to automate and improve compensation processes within Workday to streamline and create efficiencies.
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit processes are developed, approved, and followed.
  • Work with HRIS staff to ensure Workday is current with respect to changes to salary structures, job profiles, pay changes, and bonus information.
  • Ensure compensation initiatives, policies, and practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Perform special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of compensation theory and practice, as well as compensation program design and trends.
  • Strong analytical ability, including the ability to utilize statistical and financial analysis tools. Ability to synthesize complex information into meaningful data.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HCM systems. Workday and PayFactors experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to compensation and wage and hour compliance.
  • Advanced Excel – including vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Education:

  • 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience in compensation-related positions. Law firm experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline. Advanced degree a plus.
  • CCP certification preferred.
