Job summary

CMA CGM is seeking a Regional Compensation & Benefits Expert to coordinate and harmonize the group’s C&B policy across the Africa region. You will act as a strategic advisor to international teams and support reporting and analytics for the Shipping Division’s C&B efforts.

We require 5+ years in C&B within a large international group, strong Excel and Qliksense skills, and fluency in English and French. Master’s degree in HR, Finance, or Business is preferred.

YOUR ROLE

As a key member of the Human Resources Department of the Europe Regional Office , the Regional Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Expert will coordinate, harmonize, and implement the Group’s C&B policy across the Africa region. The role acts as a strategic advisor to operational teams on an international scale and supports the Shipping Division’s C&B team with reporting and analytics.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Ensure external competitiveness and internal equity of C&B structures using market analysis and monitoring tools.
• Work closely with regional HR Director to identify priorities and support the HR strategy of the Region.
• Act as a trusted advisor, recommending adjustments to compensation, allocations, and benefits to meet the Regional /Division’s specific needs.
• Manage the renewal of health and provident insurance contracts within the region.
• Contribute to budget preparation and support the Group’s salary review process.
• Advise stakeholders on C&B-related decision-making, ensuring local practices align with Group strategy, identifying risks, and proposing solutions.

WHO ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

• Experience with job evaluation and grading methodologies (e.g., WTW, Mercer, Korn Ferry) is preferred.
• Rigorous, methodical, and highly organized approach to work.
• Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to build consensus and foster teamwork.
• HR/Compensation certification is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  Strong affinity for working with data and figures.
  Ideally holds a Master's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or Business.
