Description du poste

>commit is a new Venture Capital fund investing primarily in Open Source and infrastructure software companies at the beginning of their journey. We create strong relationships with the best builders and developers in Europe early on, and support them in building global companies.

In the past year, >commit has built the biggest community dedicated to supporting European Open Source entrepreneurs.

This community is made of 3 different personas:

  • Over 50 founders and C-Levels of top Open Source companies like Mozilla, Supabase, HuggingFace, DbtLabs, Neo4j, Docker, etc.
  • Over 30 CTOs and CIOs of big groups (NBC Universal, BNP Paribas, Orange Datadog, Airbus, etc.)
  • Top executives such as the community managers & head of developer relationships at Open AI, Nebius, MongoDB, etc.

In addition, >commit will invest in many Open Source projects which will constitute its portfolio of investments.

We are building a community-based VC with a mission to connect and empower the builders who create the foundational layers of the modern software stack.

The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional intern to become the engine behind our community, social presence, and brand. You’ll be at the heart of everything we do, from events to content to daily community engagement. This is not a back‑office role: you’ll interact directly with some of the most influential people in the tech industry.

Your Missions
Community Management
  • Structure, animate, and grow our community of open source founders, CTOs
  • Engage members with relevant conversations, introductions, and curated content
  • Monitor community health, track engagement metrics, and propose initiatives to increase activity
  • Serve as the welcoming face of >commit for new members joining the community
  • Help us engage with and grow our network of peer investors and limited partners
Events
  • Help organize the Open Source track of the RAISE Summit (8k attendees, 20+ founders of billion‑dollar OSS companies, 50+ CIOs)
  • Support end‑to‑end event logistics: speaker coordination, attendee management, partnerships, on‑site operations
  • Interview the leading founders of the Open Source industry, create video clips and after movies.
  • Help organizing Hackathon online and offline
  • Help design and execute smaller community events (dinners, roundtables, meetups) all across Europe
  • Manage event communications and follow‑ups
Content & Social Media
  • Regularly update our website with additional content, suggest design evolution
  • Create engaging content for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other relevant channels
  • Write and publish community highlights, event recaps, and thought leadership pieces and newsletters
  • Help shape the >commit brand voice and visual identity across all platforms
  • Monitor tech industry conversations and identify content opportunities
  • Identify and engage with relevant influencers, journalists, and community voices to grow >commit's reach
Brand & Strategy Support
  • Contribute to the overall brand‑building strategy of >commit as a new fund
  • Support partnership and sponsorship outreach
  • Help with research on the infrastructure software ecosystem
Who You Are
  • You have exceptional social and communication skills, you’re the kind of person who lights up a room and makes everyone feel welcome
  • You’re bursting with energy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn
  • You have a real interest in tech: open source, AI, infrastructure software, cloud, developer tools… You don’t particularly need to be an engineer, but you read tech Twitter and know what GitHub is
  • When a topic sparks your interest, you have the drive and creativity to go beyond what’s expected... not because you’re asked to, but because you genuinely want to
  • You’re a strong writer (English is a must; French is a plus) and can adapt tone for different audiences
  • You’re organized, autonomous, and thrive in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • You’re comfortable interacting with senior executives, founders, and investors
  • Bonus: experience with community platforms (Slack, Discord), social media management, or event organization
  • Bonus: Being a developer and being technically savvy is not a must, but a big plus.
What You’ll Get
  • Direct exposure to the top founders, C‑levels, and investors in infrastructure software network most people take a decade to build
  • A front‑row seat to the creation of a new fund and brand from scratch
  • Real responsibility from day one: your work will have a visible, immediate impact
  • Mentorship and learning across venture capital, community building, and the tech ecosystem
