Within the Electrical and Propulsion Domain, reporting to the Wheelset & Drive system Commodity Director, the Commodity Manager will oversee the wheelset and Bearings category (~300M€/year) with a global supplier footprint.

The Commodity team you will lead interfaces with product management, project teams, and suppliers to secure the supply of core bogie component technologies. You will be accountable for your category's performance and responsible for formalizing and deploying worldwide sourcing strategies.

This role requires openness and a broad interest in market dynamics, negotiation, pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk management (geopolitical, financial, technological, etc.).

In particular, your responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of 2 commodity leaders
  • Coordinating a large global network to meet business objectives from tenders to projects, ensuring compliance with procurement processes
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive strategies in coordination with product managers and regional organizations
  • Optimizing procurement performance through cost improvement initiatives, tactical planning, multi-scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Gaining in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, costs, and market intelligence to influence procurement decisions

  • A business school or engineering degree, preferably with a purchasing specialization
  • At least 10 years of experience in an industrial, international, matrixed purchasing organization
  • A proven track record in sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize data and make recommendations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Leadership, influencing skills, and the ability to communicate across all organizational levels
  • Capability to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
