Job summary

Infinite Orbits PTE Ltd. in Toulouse seeks a Commodity Buyer to lead sourcing, contract management and supplier relationships within a dynamic space-industry environment.

You will manage POs, negotiate supplier contracts, track performance, and support project execution with a focus on cost, delivery and quality. The role requires at least 5 years in space procurement and strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Space industry experience required (minimum 5 years).
• Procurement experience (minimum 5 years).
• Contract negotiation and contract management experience.
• Electronics and mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Soft skills: self-motivated, proactive, flexible, leadership, team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing decisions with RFIs/RFPs/RFQs.
• Negotiate, draft and manage supplier contracts to meet target costs and milestones.
• Manage suppliers through the project lifecycle and monitor cost, timing and quality.
• Lead supplier escalations and coordinate recovery actions.
• Support supplier audits and on-site visits; contribute to continuous improvement.

"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO.

"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

About the Role

The Commodity Buyer is a member of the project team and will manage the procurement activities.

He/she will be responsible for POs, sourcing, negotiation, contract management and supplier management.

He/she will support the project execution in a very dynamic environment.

Job Description

1. Sourcing & Contract Management

Lead RFI/RFP/RFQ for team sourcing decision.

Negotiate, draft and manage supplier contracts to secure target costs, project’s milestones, payment terms and warranties.

2. Project Execution

Manage suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

Track suppliers to secure cost, timing and quality.

Approve supplier deliverables with Delivery Managers and Supplier Quality team.

Lead supplier escalations and coordinate recovery actions.

Support the Quality team during supplier audits and on-site visits.

4. Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to continuous improvement of supplier performance, procurement processes and tools.

Monitor and report procurement KPIs covering cost, delivery and planning.
