Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions is hiring a seasoned Commissioning Manager to lead the planning, staffing, and execution of commissioning and start-up phases at site. You will coordinate with engineering, construction, HSE, project management, and client teams to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time plant start-up in a dynamic, international environment.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial commissioning, 5+ years as commissioning manager, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or engineering degree in process, mechanical, instrumentation.
• At least 8 years in industrial commissioning and minimum 5 years as commissioning manager.
• Solid understanding of process plant operation and multi-discipline interfaces.
• Strong command of commissioning methodology, documentation, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, planning and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel to international project sites for extended periods (6–18 months).

• Lead daily/weekly commissioning meetings and report progress accurately.
• Contribute to final project reviews and post-project lessons learned.

As a core member of the Commissioning Department, you are the expert responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the commissioning and start-up phases at site. You are the central link, working hand-in-hand with engineering, construction, HSE, project management, commissioning supervisors and client teams to guarantee a safe, efficient, and successful plant start-up.

• Define the commissioning strategy, planning, staffing and execution for assigned projects.
• Support the proposal effort

At Site, under the responsability of the Site Manager:

• Be accountable for the Safety of the Commissioning activities. Implement and enforce HSE procedures and promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of commissioning activities.
• Lead all commissioning activities to safely deliver the project on time, on budget and with the expected level of quality
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation (Commissioning Plan, test procedures, tracking matrices, handover dossiers).
• Coordinate all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across disciplines (process, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, utilities).
• Manage internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning engineers.
• Oversee cold and hot testing (blowing, loop checking), initial start-up, and operational readiness, ensuring full safety and technical compliance.
• Act as the main point of contact for commissioning with the client, project team, and construction site.
• Manage punch lists, non-conformities, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Lead daily/weekly commissioning meetings and ensure progress is reported accurately.
• Contribute to final project reviews and post-project lessons learned

• You have a 2-years college degree or an Engineering degree (or equivalent) in process, mechanical, instrumentation
• You have at least 8 years of experience in industrial commissioning (preferably in gases, chemicals, energy, oil & gas, or process industries) and minimum 5 years as a commissioning manager
• You have a solid understanding of process plant operation and multi-discipline technical interfaces.
• You have a strong command of commissioning methodology, documentation, and safety standards.
• You have excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills.
• You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken) – mandatory.
• You are able to travel and be assigned to international project sites for extended periods (6–18 months).
