Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions France is seeking a senior Commissioning Manager to lead planning, staffing and execution of commissioning activities at industrial sites. You will ensure safety, coordinate across disciplines and manage internal teams and subcontractors to deliver on schedule and budget.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial commissioning, 5+ years as a commissioning manager, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or Engineering degree in process, mechanical, instrumentation
• 8+ years' experience in industrial commissioning and 5+ years as commissioning manager
• Strong understanding of process plant operation and multi-discipline interfaces
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken) – mandatory
• Willingness to travel internationally (6–18 months)

As a core member of the Commissioning Department, you are the expert responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the commissioning and start-up phases at site. You are the central link, working hand-in-hand with engineering, construction, HSE, project management, commissioning supervisors and client teams to guarantee a safe, efficient, and successful plant start-up. In Home Office: Define the commissioning strategy, planning, staffing and execution for assigned projects. Support the proposal effort At Site, under the responsibility of the Site Manager: Be accountable for the Safety of the Commissioning activities. Implement and enforce HSE procedures and promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of commissioning activities. Lead all commissioning activities to safely deliver the project on time, on budget and with the expected level of quality Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation (Commissioning Plan, test procedures, tracking matrices, handover dossiers). Coordinate all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across disciplines (process, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, utilities). Manage internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning engineers. Oversee cold and hot testing (blowing, loop checking), initial start-up, and operational readiness, ensuring full safety and technical compliance. Act as the main point of contact for commissioning with the client, project team, and construction site. Manage punch lists, non-conformities, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. Lead daily/weekly commissioning meetings and ensure progress is reported accurately. Contribute to final project reviews and post-project lessons learned.

Qualifications

• You have a 2-years college degree or an Engineering degree (or equivalent) in process, mechanical, instrumentation
• You have at least 8 years of experience in industrial commissioning (preferably in gases, chemicals, energy, oil & gas, or process industries) and minimum 5 years as a commissioning manager
• You have a solid understanding of process plant operation and multi-discipline technical interfaces.
• You have a strong command of commissioning methodology, documentation, and safety standards.
• You have excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills.
• You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken) – mandatory.
• You are able to travel and be assigned to international project sites for extended periods (6–18 months).
