As a Commis Chef at Zuma, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences, and you’ll play a key role in crafting dishes that leave a lasting impression. Join our team for the summer season 2025, please note this position is a seasonal contract (CDD).

Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired

by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. This role will be based in Zuma Cannes, in

the historic Palm Beach. Our luxurious year-round venue plays host to guests

attending the many iconic events through-out the year. With a stunning terrace

and a multi-format indoor dinning, Zuma Cannes is the go-to location within the

South of France. Zuma is proud to be part of the Azumi restaurant collection.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Ensure mise en place levels are maintained to guarantee smooth service, with a focus on quality, consistency, and impeccable presentation
  • Embrace opportunities to learn and grow, gaining experience across various kitchen sections under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper storage practices and minimizing waste
  • Prepare food products according to recipes, ensuring precision, care, and adherence to the highest preparation standards
  • Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas and maintain clean, organized workstations in line with Zuma’s high standards
  • Follow Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times
