Internal sales specialist within a sub Business Unit (BU) allocated to accounts where possible, with deep knowledge of the portfolio, processes, and vendor pricing. Manages all quotes and closes orders; incentivized based on part of the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Build excellent customer and vendor sales relationships through proactive engagement and demonstrable specialist product knowledge under supervision.
- Generate new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and engaging in general conversations around solutions or product areas.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and margin targets.
- Develop relationships with key internal and external contacts proactively.
- Engage in active inside selling using various sources to gather customer information, maximizing call potential and outcomes.
- Manage customer backorders using specialist knowledge and engage in 'intelligent project fishing.'
- In AS, either manage projects end-to-end or hand over to pre-sales for technical requirements.
- Provide, sell, and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers, and promotions.
- Ensure TD SYNNEX maintains service level agreements with customers.
- Attain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as customer engagement.
- Sell the benefits of using TD SYNNEX and the company's value proposition.
- Identify project opportunities and collaborate with BDMs for specific product/vendor knowledge.
- Drive sales of specific products/vendors requiring specialized knowledge.
- Provide accurate and timely quotations across segments (SMB Managed, SP/E-Var/SI, Specialists, entire AS BUs).
- Generate and maintain a pipeline of deals in TD SYNNEX’s CRM system, ensuring regular review and active closure of opportunities.
- Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting.
- Maintain the CRM system with accurate customer information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Numerate with good attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Priority management and planning skills.
- Strive to achieve set targets.
- Understanding of the sales process.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good relationship-building abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Previous experience with IT systems for quotation, order entry, CRM is preferred.
- Knowledge of the product set and IT industry is desirable but not essential.
