Our client is a renowned Chinese clothing brand committed to connecting humans and nature through environmentally respectful apparel, paying tribute to the essential.

Reporting to the Executive President, the Commercial Head will lead the company's entry into the European market, overseeing strategic development and operational excellence across retail, wholesale, and digital channels. This role requires strategic foresight, leadership, and practical execution to establish the brand as a premium sustainable fashion label in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Development

  • Define and implement the European commercial strategy, including market entry, sales targets, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop a comprehensive business plan aligned with the company's global vision, ensuring profitability and sustainable expansion.
  • Manage budgeting, sales forecasting, and financial analysis to maximize ROI and efficiency.
  • Identify market trends, consumer insights, and competitive opportunities to capitalize on.

2. Retail & Wholesale Operations

  • Oversee the rollout of company-owned stores, franchises, travel retail, and partnerships with department stores and multi-brand retailers.
  • Drive eCommerce growth by collaborating with digital teams to enhance online platforms.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership contracts, ensuring brand standards and profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance across channels, implementing corrective and growth strategies.

3. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams in retail, wholesale, and sales.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Communication teams to align brand messaging, promotions, and visual merchandising.
  • Work with the Paris Design Center and HQ to adapt product ranges, pricing, and calendars for European markets.
  • Maintain effective communication between European operations and global stakeholders.

4. Brand Integrity & Operational Excellence

  • Uphold the company's sustainability ethos and premium brand image across all touchpoints.
  • Optimize store operations, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Oversee new store openings, lease negotiations, and operational workflows.
  • Implement best practices in sales processes, CRM, and after-sales services.

Candidate Profile

1. Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business, Fashion Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Over 10 years of senior leadership experience in luxury fashion, especially womenswear; menswear a plus.
  • Proven success in expanding retail and wholesale networks across Europe, including department stores and eCommerce.
  • Deep understanding of luxury consumer behavior, sustainability, and omnichannel strategies.
  • Strategic vision: Ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills with retailers, distributors, and industry leaders.
  • Financial expertise in P&L management, budgeting, and EBITDA maximization.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire innovation, accountability, and team development.
  • Cultural fit: Passion for sustainability, agility in cross-cultural environments, aligned with company values.

2. Languages

  • Fluent in English and French (mandatory); proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
