Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer focused on Codex for startups in Paris. You will combine hands-on engineering, startup experience, and compelling technical communication to help teams turn the potential of AI coding tools into practical, effective workflows.

You’ll build reusable tools and resources, deliver talks and live demos, and collaborate with Product, Research, and Engineering to improve developer experiences and drive reliable adoption across the startup ecosystem.

Qualifications

Experience building with startups or working closely with early-stage startups.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to build practical AI applications.
Active user of Codex or other AI coding tools with insights on improvement.
Excellent communicator who presents, demos, and runs workshops for developers and founders.

Responsibilities

Partner with top startups to identify Codex impact on their software workflows.
Design and lead talks, live demos, workshops, and hands-on programmes.
Work with customers to build Codex workflows, integrations, and automations.
Turn successful approaches into reusable code examples, guides, and tools.
Collaborate with account teams to reach developers and founders and drive value.
