Richards Manufacturing Company in Irvington, NJ is seeking a CNC Milling Machine Programmer & Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC machines for parts, fixtures, molds and dies.

We require 3–5 years hands-on CNC milling experience; bilingual with Spanish a plus; onsite work; reports to MS Production Manager and adheres to safety standards and PPE protocols.

• 3–5 years hands-on CNC milling experience.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

• Ensure machines and surrounding area obey Safety Standards.
• Follow Safety Policies using proper PPE.
• Observe that material and dimensions information are according to work order.
• Choose and verify adequate tools for work completion.
• Proficient with measuring instruments and interpreting drawings.
• Set up parts or fixtures into machine.
• Proficient in Zero Homing and tool offset usage.
• Create or edit programs for machining.
• Check work during and after operations.
• Work with Engineering to resolve Quality issues.

Job Description

Setting up, program, and operating CNC Machines for, parts production, fixtures, molds and dies.

Location: Onsite, Richards Manufacturing Facility (Irvington, NJ)

Reports to: MS Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that machines and surrounding area obey Safety Standards.
• Follow Safety Policies using proper PPE.
• Observe that material and dimensions information are according to work order.
• Choose and verify adequate tools for work completion.
• Proficient with measuring instruments and interpreting drawings.
• Set up parts or fixture into machine.
• Proficient in Zero Homing and tool offset usage.
• Create or Edite programs for machining.
• Check work during and after operations
• Work with Engineering to complete root cause/corrective action on Quality issues.
