Job summary

Salomon is seeking a highly motivated CMF Design Intern to join our Apparel Section in Annecy. You will develop seasonal color palettes, graphic designs, and material/finish strategies that reflect the brand identity for outdoor apparel.

You will work with the CMF team and designers to create color palettes and mood boards, while organizing color and material libraries. This internship is 6 months, starting January/February 2027, with flexible hours and accessible workplace arrangements.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in CMF Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Passion for outdoor sports and strong familiarity with Salomon’s brand and products.
• Excellent visual and aesthetic sensibility with a keen eye for color, pattern, and texture.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator); knowledge of Clo3D, Substance, or other 3D CMF software is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CMF team in researching and identifying emerging trends in color, materials, and finishes relevant to outdoor sports apparel.
• Support the development of seasonal CMF mood boards, inspiration sources, and presentation materials.
• Collaborate with designers to create and refine color palettes aligned with Salomon’s brand DNA and consumer insights.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining color and material libraries for internal reference.
• Support graphic designers in developing print and pattern concepts for apparel collections, incorporating seasonal themes, brand identity, and technical requirements.
• Help coordinate and maintain strike-off and sample libraries.
• Conduct trend and material research, exploring innovative, sustainable, and performance-driven materials and trims for apparel products.
• Provide timely and effective operative design support to the CMF and Apparel Design teams, contributing to short-term project planning and execution.
• Actively participate in cross-functional development projects as a collaborative team member.
