This position reports directly to the General Manager and focuses on monitoring group and transient business thresholds within the forecast to ensure measurable improvements in demand and availability. It involves analyzing the impact of short-term decisions on occupancy, average rate, and rooms profit goals, as well as evaluating city events and activities to project their effects. The role includes competitive analysis and is part of a challenging position within the commercial team. The cluster revenue manager will oversee a portfolio of hotels in different locations, managing at least two hotels directly.
Duties and Responsibilities
Commercial
- Achieve hotel budget and monthly forecast goals.
- Monitor data to determine pricing strategies; conduct and report internal price proposals based on results and market developments.
- Collaborate with sales and other cross-functional teams to drive business needs, including tools, data, reporting, and processes.
- Set group pricing and acceptance parameters based on pickup trends and market conditions to maximize initial group business confirmations.
- Research and analyze competitors, market trends, and events to inform strategy adjustments.
- Analyze product, price, occupancy, and RGI from competitive sets regularly.
- Monitor bookings, cancellations, and system utilization, reacting accordingly.
- Research and stay updated on revenue management strategies of key competitors and industry intelligence.
- Ensure distribution channels have accurate content, availability, and pricing.
- Manage e-commerce activities and brand relationships to maximize online revenue and uphold reputation.
- Provide reports and information to the organization and general managers, and facilitate the rollout of new tools and systems.
- Deliver concise, organized presentations.
- Review and implement room inventory controls daily.
- Lead revenue and commercial meetings, analyzing results and discussing strategies.
- Review reports daily, address concerns, and develop action plans.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications and Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in English and the local language for writing, speaking, and negotiating.
- Extensive knowledge of revenue management and hotel market dynamics.
- Ability to analyze data and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and influencing skills.
- Previous experience in the hotel, travel, tourism, or service sectors preferred.
- Team-oriented with a good sense of humor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in financial planning, revenue management, or pricing, preferably in hospitality.
- Knowledge of revenue management principles and hotel pricing strategies.
