Mission

As a pioneer in sustainable animal breeding and genetics, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in The Netherlands or France. You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, troubleshooting, and deploying applications and systems on HG’s cloud environment, focusing on Microsoft Azure and other public cloud platforms. This role requires expertise in IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with architecture and software teams to define standards for designing, building, testing, and deploying cloud applications. Additionally, you will automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling, ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop AVD and Intune profiles according to business needs
• Manage cloud infrastructure and configurations as code using tools like Terraform
• Build infrastructure environments in Azure focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring
• Support platform services to ensure performance and uptime
• Diagnose and resolve complex system, software, and connectivity issues
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements
• Automate processes through scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Integrate cloud solutions with other platforms and applications
• Develop alerts, monitoring, and health-check solutions
• Communicate incidents and resolutions to stakeholders
• Adhere to backup, maintenance, and operational standards

Profile

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Intune
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform
• Expertise in deploying and managing IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud environments
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, security, and high availability best practices
• Problem-solving skills for complex issues
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with additional public cloud providers
• Experience developing cost-efficient cloud solutions
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
