A healthcare organization is seeking a Clinical Specialist Radiographer to manage the Nuclear Medicine Service. The role involves supervising staff and ensuring the effective management of the paediatric nuclear medicine service. Qualifications

  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine and 3 years clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine.
  • 5 years full-time post qualification clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine.

Description

Purpose of the Role

To undertake responsibility on a day-to-day basis for the Nuclear Medicine (NM) Service in CHI at Crumlin. To lead, guide and supervise radiographic and other staff and to successfully manage the paediatric NM service, with effective utilisation of all resources allocated.

To manage in a rapidly changing environment and be willing to undertake such additional duties within the Diagnostic Imaging Department also, as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Bachelor of Radiography for Diagnostic Radiography or possess the Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent
  • Be registered or be eligible for registration, on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU
  • On appointment practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU once initial registration is secured
  • Possess a recognized postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine as recognised by the IIRRT and 3 years clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine

Or

  • Have not less than 5 years full time post qualification clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine
