Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform a range of tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology. You will ensure accuracy, document results, and report findings to pathologists and clinicians.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in MLS/ Medical Technology or Biological Science and ASCP certification or eligibility. Experience with LIS and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation is required or eligible.
• Non-certified applicants must obtain ASCP certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Prepares specimens for examination and performs complex tests using automated equipment.
• Performs QC, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on instruments.
• Evaluates QC and calibration results and reports patient results promptly.
• Enters results into LIS and communicates critical results to providers.
• Participates in continuing education and QA/QI projects.
• Assists in developing SOPs and adheres to safety policies.
