Leading Path Consulting seeks a Data Engineer in Chantilly, VA to design and develop scalable software platforms using Python/NodeJS and a modern data tech stack (ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, NiFi).

You will work in an Agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement and collaboration with engineering teams to enhance system capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10 to 15 years of related software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python or NodeJS.
• Hands-on experience with Elastic Search, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, and NiFi.
• DevOps experience building and deploying cloud infrastructure with Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

The Software Engineer will design and develop complex new software products, or make significant enhancements to existing software. The candidate must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust scalable solutions that can manage large data sets. The candidate must be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
