Tesla Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a full stack developer with a strong backend focus to join our middleware and backend services team in Chantilly, France. You will work on Solr/Elasticsearch-based search layers, schema updates, and Lucene queries within a big data environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend Java development, 3+ years with Solr/Elasticsearch, and hands-on experience with Hadoop, PySpark or Spark. Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years).
• Performing schema updates.
• Significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries.
• Significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work.
• Significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, and HBase (prefer at least two).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on backend Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to production.

We are seeking a full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.

• Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
• Performing schema updates
• Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
• Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
• Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
