Clean Utilities Engineer – Toulouse – Contract – Life Sciences

Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, is recruiting for a Clean Utilities Engineer to join their team on a new expansion project. Based in Toulouse, France, this contractual role involves significantly increasing the site's capacity for biologics manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with vendors regarding construction readiness and schedule for all Clean Utility systems, perform and lead field walk-downs for these systems.
  2. Ensure commissioning readiness of all Clean Utility Systems to support equipment start-up and IOQ testing.
  3. Support PSSR/STW field execution and guide the CQV team through start-up exercises safely and effectively.
  4. Maintain full traceability of all Clean Utility systems within the CQV interface, using systems like EIDA or equivalent.
  5. Coordinate with project groups (Design, Construction Management, CQV, Automation, Process, SMEs, Operations, Maintenance, Project Managers) to ensure proper management of all Clean Utility Systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for Clean Utilities as part of the expansion.
  7. Scope includes, but is not limited to: clean steam, clean water, purified water, and WFI (Water for Injection).
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in the pharmaceutical industry.
  2. French language skills are ideal; however, Irish or European candidates with the right experience will also be considered.
  3. Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards.
  4. Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  6. French and English language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
