Main Responsibilities
Programme Management and Analysis
- Organize activities under the desk, including setting up clear programme plans to ensure successful delivery of outputs, such as physical events in the Caspian and Black Sea region.
- Conduct analytical work and manage deliverables like reports, commentary pieces, and briefings.
- Support tracking and reporting of deliverables in a timely manner, both internally and to external funders.
Communications
- Identify opportunities to communicate bilateral and regional successes of the CETP, including content production for the IEA website, regional media outlets, and social media.
- Monitor political and macroeconomic developments impacting the energy sector in the region, and prepare briefings for relevant groups (e.g., CETP core group, IEA management, IEA member countries, CETP donors).
- Liaise and coordinate with existing donors for CETP-related projects and fundraising efforts for future projects.
Liaison and Outreach
- Engage with counterparts in partner countries and key international organizations (e.g., EBRD, European Commission, World Bank, Energy Community, UN ECE).
- Coordinate with relevant country governments providing funding for CETP activities in the Caspian and Black Sea.
Qualifications: Ideal Candidate
Academic Background
- Advanced university degree in physical sciences, engineering, economics, energy policy, political science, or related fields.
Professional Experience
- Three to five years of experience in energy-related project management and liaison activities within public/private organizations, research centers, or international organizations.
- Proven organizational skills, ability to work autonomously, and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience organizing meetings, workshops, and consultation processes.
- Experience working in Eastern European and/or Central Asian regions.
Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including delivering presentations and preparing reports for stakeholders and donors.
Languages
- Fluency in English or French, with willingness to learn the other; knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian is advantageous.

Additional Information
- Closing Date: Applications should be received by midnight, 7th September 2025 (Paris time).
- Contract Duration: 24 months fixed-term, renewable up to 36 months.
