Role Definition

As part of our ongoing project to standardize production processes, we are seeking a Civil Draftsman/Designer to assist in the detailed design and drafting of civil structures for our bio-methane and biogas facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Civil Draftsman/Designer, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans that will guide the construction of civil infrastructures such as buildings, foundations, and pipelines within the bio-methane and biogas production units. You will work closely with civil engineers and other team members to ensure that all designs meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Developing detailed drawings and blueprints for civil structures, including foundations, buildings, roads, and drainage systems.
• Preparing and revising 2D and 3D models of civil works using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
• Collaborating with engineers to interpret project specifications and convert them into technical drawings.
• Ensuring that all designs comply with relevant Eurocodes and NF EN standards.
• Preparing layouts for the placement of equipment, pipelines, and other infrastructure within the production sites.
• Assisting in the creation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) for site infrastructure.
• Updating drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and field teams.
• Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure that designs are correctly implemented during construction.
• Managing document control for all drawings and ensuring proper versioning and traceability.
• Conducting site visits as needed to verify measurements and ensure design accuracy.

Profile:

• A diploma or degree in Civil Drafting, Design, or a related field.
• Initial experience (internship or entry-level) in civil drafting for industrial or construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software, with a basic understanding of civil engineering principles.
• 5+ years of experience in civil drafting and design for large-scale industrial or energy projects.
• Expertise in civil design software with experience in drafting civil works for energy, gas, or related industries.
• Proven ability to manage complex drafting projects and coordinate with engineering teams.

Qualification

1. Proficiency in Drafting and Design Software

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or other similar design software used for civil engineering.
• Ability to create both 2D and 3D drawings, as well as render detailed models of civil structures and layouts.

2. Knowledge of Civil Engineering Principles

• Understanding of civil engineering concepts related to structural design, foundation systems, and drainage.
• Familiarity with P&ID and civil layouts for industrial projects.

3. Compliance with Standards

• Knowledge of Eurocodes and NF EN standards for civil design and construction in France.
• Awareness of safety and environmental regulations related to civil works in industrial settings.

4. Strong Attention to Detail

• Ability to create precise and accurate drawings, with a focus on detail and quality control.
• Experience in ensuring designs adhere to project specifications and regulatory standards.

5. Collaboration and Communication

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with civil engineers, project managers, and contractors.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
