Location: Remote / Flexible (CET preferred) - Ideally Paris, FR or can travel within EU for conferences / meetings

ai is a Paris-based startup redefining luxury resale through trust, technology, and community. We are building a blockchain-authenticated, AI-powered marketplace where trust is measurable, reputations are rewarded, and luxury goods carry a verified digital identity. The platform integrates real-time scoring algorithms, AI-driven insights, and blockchain-based authentication to enable secure and transparent high-value transactions between buyers, sellers, and service vendors.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a growth-phase technical leader to evolve our architecture and help scale the platform. As CTO, you’ll partner with the founder to shape the next stage of Mark3t’s tech vision, oversee platform scaling, AI system deployment, and modular integration across scoring, vendor ecosystems, and luxury services. Your leadership will help transition from a working product to an intelligent, trusted infrastructure.

Requirements

1. Proven experience scaling real-time web platforms (startup or freelance accepted)
2. Familiarity with big data architecture (structured/unstructured pipelines, streaming systems)
3. Proficiency in JavaScript, Next.js, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
4. Excellent communication, documentation, and remote collaboration skills

Bonus Skills

1. Exposure to ZKPs, digital identity, or decentralized storage (IPFS)
2. Experience with luxury, fashion, or high-net-worth UX
3. Interest in blockchain, smart contracts, token rewards, decentralized identity
4. Managing real-time ingestion of user, transaction, and service data
5. Optimizing infrastructure for performance, security, and data integrity

Compensation

Future compensation, transitioning to a paid CTO or Tech Lead role post-funding (target: post-beta/early traction). Key milestones include:

• Integration of trust system and authentication flows (blockchain)
• Testing revenue streams (subscription, commission, or service tier)
• Onboarding 1–2 developers and establishing an agile system

Help define the backbone of trust for the next generation of luxury commerce by merging machine learning, community validation, and luxury UX. Contribute to building infrastructure for ethical, transparent, and reputation-driven resale. As the company grows and secures funding, your role and rewards will grow accordingly, on a transparent and earned schedule.
