Job Description
Within Wavestone's IT Department, the main mission of the future IT Director will be to define and deploy an effective information system to support the business teams, the firm's ambitions for growth and internationalization, and the performance requirements of a listed SME.
To achieve this, the person will need to anticipate technological and application changes within the organization, play a crucial role in the firm's innovation and continuous improvement of business processes, while ensuring technological transitions and carrying out large-scale application projects.
The position reports to the Partner, a member of the Executive Committee, in charge of the IS and Finance Departments.
Structured around 3 application divisions (People, Finance, Business), a CIO Office division, an Architecture, Data & Innovation division, an Infrastructure & Technology division, and finally Security.
- People: Recruitment, Human Resources, Communication
- Business: Sell & Marketing, Deliver
- Finance: Book to cash, Purchase to pay, Cash management, Steering & Accounting
- Architecture, Data & Innovation: Architecture cartography, Design Authority, Data & Analytics
- Security: Security & Data Privacy
- IS transformation: steering the IS master plan, framing and managing structuring projects
- Team management: securing the growth of an international team as part of a merger of IT teams and the deployment of agile methodology across the perimeter.
- Identifying and setting up strategic partners to support major transformation programs, such as the implementation of SAP (underway), or the introduction of a new EPM or CRM system.
Qualifications
- Be able to quickly understand the existing IS of a consultancy firm, assess its weaknesses and provide a vision of the necessary changes and priorities to be addressed.
- Have solid skills in managing complex programmes, mainly applications, and in designing and steering IT master plans.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills to challenge and develop a high-potential team.
- Be able to work in a highly collaborative environment in terms of governance, the ability to put forward your convictions and to be challenged.
- Be able to establish partnerships with external service providers and conduct effective contract negotiations.
Your profile:
- Director of Organization and Information Systems or CIO or Director / Partner in a consultancy firm.
- Around 20 years' experience, familiar with the world of Professional Services companies.
- Knowledge of an international organizational context for support functions.
- Well-balanced organizational and application management skills, with a vision and convictions based on experience.
- Experience acquired in a merger/acquisition context is a plus.
