The position:
With a fundraise of 16+M€, a team of more than 20 people, Raidium seeks a Chief Financial Officer to oversee all aspects of financial management.
This includes:
- Financial strategy and implementation
- Accounting management
- Cash management
- Administrative tasks
Responsibilities
- Financial processes: Define and implement all processes related to finances.
- Strategy: Contribute to the company’s strategy and implement it as a budget.
- Analytical accounting: Map expenses to the budget.
- Financial modeling: Create the Business Plan.
- Financial reporting: Prepare reports for VCs and grants (e.g., EIC).
- Fundraising support: Support financial aspects of roadshows (BP consolidation, due diligences, etc.).
- General accounting: Oversee accounting, balance sheets.
- Payrolls: Manage pay slips, salary benefits.
- Subcontractor management/negotiation.
- Cash management and investments.
- Administration of Raidium SAS: Liaise with social, fiscal, and legal institutions.
- Supporting Raidium US management: Including accounting, payroll, legal forms, etc.
As the CFO of an early-stage startup, you may also:
- Participate in grant applications: Provide financial inputs & reporting.
- Manage the office manager.
- Handle various administrative tasks: Managing apprenticeship contracts, etc.
- HR responsibilities: As Raidium currently lacks an HR department, the CFO may take on HR duties.
You will be part of the executive committee, working closely with Sebastian Schwarz (COO), Paul Hérent (CEO), and Pierre Manceron (CSO).
Your experience and qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards (French GAAP and ideally IFRS), and corporate finance.
- Proven experience managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and managing relationships with financial institutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and oral.
- Rigor and attention to detail are essential.
- Legal authorization to work in France.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience as a CFO or in a senior finance role within deeptech or healthcare startups.
- Experience with financial modeling for business planning and valuation.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in France and internationally.
- Experience managing legal and administrative aspects of a company.
- Experience with grant applications and management.
- International business and currency management experience.
