We are looking for a chief estimator to join a dynamic team and play a key role in the strategic development of the company.

A recognized leader in the construction industry both in Canada and internationally, the company stands out for its expertise in managing large-scale projects, particularly in the institutional sector.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Estimation Director, evaluate and select projects to submit for tender and form the teams responsible for ongoing estimates.
  • Schedule kick-off meetings with the teams.
  • Organize regular follow-up meetings with the teams.
  • Review tender documents to identify competitive opportunities and analyze profitability conditions.
  • Stay on the lookout for potential projects to submit for tender.
  • Oversee and coordinate all estimation activities to produce a detailed cost assessment to complete the project in accordance with plans, specifications, and requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on procedures for tenders.
  • Participate in the development of the project implementation schedule in collaboration with the estimators.
  • Organize the review and closure of tenders.
  • Prepare budget proposals and service offers with the support of the technical writer.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the quantity and cost estimation software.

Skills and qualifications :

  • College diploma (civil engineering, architecture) or Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
