Overview

Chemical Segment Sales Manager

Write the next chapter of your ABB story. This position reports to Sales Manager, East Region. This role is remote and contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an effective sales strategy and lead the assigned area marketing and sales activities within the defined industry segment directly.
  • Help develop the Chemical market for ABB Instrumentation, working with global teams on Value messaging and using the voice of the customer to align our go to market.
  • Build relationships with key external influencers and key customers. Drive and enhance cross-division and cross-region collaboration for the specific market.
  • Define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of the sales strategy to achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve targets through high performance.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determine plans for implementation, and allocate required resources.
  • Plan and execute customer surveys and act on the results to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in the negotiation of key contracts.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree is required.
  • A Bachelors degree is .
  • Experience in Direct to End Customer sales or service is required.
  • 8 years of experience in a combination of sales, related experience or education.
  • Relevant Industry experience.
  • A willingness to be on the road visiting customers up to 60% of the time.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization to permit them to work for ABB in the US.
