Integrated within the Cherbourg support unit of the Naval Support Group, your responsibilities will include internal control, management control, and quality assurance. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in management and internal control, which will enhance your career prospects.

Institution Overview:

Mariners ensure the safety and protection of French maritime space worldwide, 24/7, across oceans, seas, land, and air. About 40,000 personnel are engaged in intelligence, prevention, intervention, protection, and deterrence missions.

Work Environment:

The Cherbourg Naval Support Group (GSC) is part of the Army Support Service (SCA), primarily responsible for supporting various units within its geographic area.

Positioned within the Performance Synthesis Division (PS) and reporting directly to the division head, the Manager of Pilotage/Internal Control is tasked with implementing an integrated management system (SMI) based on internal control, management control, and quality assurance to ensure that the GSC effectively manages its activities and maintains satisfactory support performance.

The main mission involves providing objective and reliable data on support quality through dashboards and indicators to the GSC commander and domain experts within the SCA.

Missions:

Main Activities:

1. Assimilate directives, tool usage, and updates related to internal control as defined by the central management of the SCA;
2. Maintain the permanent auditability file;
3. Monitor supervision controls and update verification registers;
4. Transmit indicators to the eight domain centers and update dashboards;
5. Participate in performance management through management control;
6. Prepare and support external audits and follow up on recommendations;
7. Assist internal control actors in fully assuming their responsibilities.

Additional Activities:

• Participation in overseas operations (OPEX) or internal missions (MISSINT) as needed by the SCA, possibly lasting 4 months.

Location:

Cherbourg in Cotentin (50), at the naval base. Initial Officer training of 4 weeks at the Naval School – Lanvéoc (29).

Remuneration:

Profile Required

• Master's degree 1 or 2 in management control, internal control, or audit;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• Analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, reactivity, rigor, organizational skills, autonomy, availability, and good interpersonal skills.

Pre-requisites:

• French nationality;
• Physical and medical fitness;
• Age between 21 and less than 30 at January 1 of the recruitment year;
• Completion of the National Defense and Citizenship Day (JDC - ex JAPD);
• Swimming ability.

Age brackets:

• 18 to 26 years (VOA/VAC, training, support, Mistral);
• 27 to 33 years (OSC, support, OSC operations, Mistral).
