About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris within the F&B Department, the Chef de Rang is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the quality of service delivered in our restaurants
  • Managing a section (station) efficiently
  • Supervising and supporting Commis de Restauration (commis waiters)
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of the menu and dishes to answer guests’ questions accurately
  • Mastering all presentation techniques, particularly by applying Forbes quality standards
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with guests
  • Actively contributing to guest loyalty and satisfaction

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position within the upscale hospitality sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and enthusiasm
  • Fluency in English and French
