Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead high-end culinary operations onboard our luxury cruise ships. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in an international, fast-paced environment while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Onboard, Chef de Cuisine roles are divided into two key areas :
Main Galley Operations – Leading a large team of up to 80 kitchen staff , overseeing high-volume production and service for the main restaurant, preparing mise en place for select outlets, and ensuring efficient execution of large-scale culinary operations.
Specialty Restaurants – Managing a smaller, independent kitchen team of 5-8 staff , focusing on a distinct fine-dining concept, ensuring consistency and excellence in a boutique-style setting.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements
Proven experience in fine dining, five-star establishments, or Michelin-rated restaurants (Rosette experience is a plus).
Previous experience managing a team in a high-volume kitchen .
Prior experience in a similar role on a cruise ship ( Preferred but not mandatory ).
Culinary School Certification.
Valid STCW Certificate, C1 / D Visa, and Seaman's Book (or willingness to obtain).
