Job summary

Altea Energy recherche un Site Manager expérimenté pour superviser l’installation industrielle de stockage d’énergie thermique sur un projet FPSO en France. Vous dirigerez les équipes sur site, coordonnerez les activités mécaniques, électriques et de tuyauterie, et assurerez le respect du planning et des exigences HSE.

Vous aurez à gérer les sous-traitants, résoudre les problèmes techniques et garantir une documentation conforme pour la réception et la mise en service.

Qualifications

• Diplôme en ingénierie mécanique, industrielle ou énergie.
• Expérience minimale de 5 ans en construction industrielle ou supervision de site.
• Supervision installation mécanique et montage d’équipements industriels.
• Expérience piping, réseaux vapeur, chaudières et utilités.
• Capacité à coordonner des sous-traitants pluridisciplinaires.
• Connaissance des exigences HSE et des normes qualité industr.
• Expérience sur sites industriels opérationnels.
• Bonnes compétences organisationnelles et communication.
• Français professionnel exigé.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Supervise the installation of industrial thermal energy storage equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, piping and instrumentation activities.
• Manage subcontractors and external installation teams.
• Monitor construction progress against the project schedule.
• Ensure proper coordination between equipment suppliers, contractors and the client's site representatives.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues during installation.

Technical Supervision

• Supervise mechanical assembly and equipment installation.
• Oversee industrial piping, steam connections and utility interfaces.
• Coordinate electrical installation and instrumentation works.
• Review technical drawings, installation procedures and construction documentation.
• Ensure installation quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Support mechanical completion, inspections and preparation for commissioning.

HSE & Quality

• Enforce site HSE procedures and applicable safety regulations.
• Coordinate permit-to-work procedures and site risk assessments.
• Ensure safe execution of activities within an operating industrial facility.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Participate in site inspections and construction quality checks.

Reporting & Coordination

• Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Monitor project milestones and identify potential delays.
• Coordinate daily site meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain construction documentation and follow up on outstanding activities.
• Support final installation acceptance and handover to the commissioning team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy Systems or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial construction or site supervision, preferably with several years in a site management role.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical installation and industrial equipment erection.
• Experience with industrial piping, steam systems, boilers, thermal equipment or industrial utilities.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary subcontractors.
• Good understanding of industrial HSE requirements and construction quality standards.
• Experience working on operational industrial sites.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• French: Professional proficiency required.

Preferred Experience

• Industrial heat generation or thermal energy storage systems.
• Industrial boilers, steam networks or heat exchangers.
• Power-to-Heat or industrial electrification projects.
• Mechanical and electrical installation coordination.
• Paper mills, chemical plants, energy facilities or other process industries.
• Experience supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

An experienced and hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in industrial mechanical installations and multidisciplinary construction supervision.

The ideal candidate is comfortable managing subcontractors, working independently on industrial sites and coordinating mechanical, electrical and piping activities.

Previous experience in thermal energy storage technology is an advantage but not mandatory. Practical experience in industrial installations, steam systems and mechanical construction will be prioritised.
