Job Description

Reporting to the Head of the Study Office at the Fauché Saint Nazaire agency, your main role will be to conduct cost studies for one or more assigned projects, focusing on the estimation phase in response to client needs and specifications, while respecting current standards, regulations, budgets, and deadlines.

Specifically, your missions will include:

Preparing Cost Studies According to Specifications:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand technical requirements and project details.
• Identify and quantify various project components (materials, equipment, labor, other resources).
• Conduct feasibility studies and estimate costs (measurements, quantities, technical calculations).
• Consult suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders for accurate pricing and resource availability information.
• Analyze and compare technical and commercial offers from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop detailed and competitive estimates considering materials, labor, equipment, and other costs.
• Assess potential project risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Ensure cost estimates align with project objectives and constraints.

Optimizing and Monitoring Costs During Execution:

• Participate in meetings with clients and internal teams to present estimates, explain decisions, and methodologies.
• Adjust cost estimates based on changes in specifications or contractual conditions.
• Propose alternatives to enhance value considering technical, price, and deadline constraints.
• Consolidate project prices (materials, transportation, labor, environment) and update documentation.
• Create cost analysis reports and monitor deviations between estimates and actual expenses.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and labor costs to improve future pricing accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Diploma level Bac+2 to Bac+3 in electrotechnics.
• Minimum 5 years of significant experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in estimation software (OPTIMA) and electrical design software (CANECO, DIALUX, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Autonomous, rigorous, detail-oriented, able to manage urgency and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate team integration.
