Description du poste

As our first ever HR Manager, you will build and manage all aspects of human resources for our dynamic and fast-paced organization of 30+ employees (growing up to 50+ in the months leading to the events). This is a unique opportunity for a skilled HR professional with a generalist background and a knack for recruitment to create HR processes, policies, and strategies from the ground up. You’ll be instrumental in attracting top talent, fostering a thriving company culture, and supporting our team as we expand globally.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for diverse roles across the organization, with a focus on headhunting top-tier talent.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract candidates aligned with our mission and values.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for both technical and non-technical positions.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are set up for success.
  • Audit and enhance the current compensation schemes to ensure competitiveness and alignment with market trends.
  • Develop performance-oriented bonus structures that reward high-achieving team members.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership for compensation adjustments and incentive plans to drive engagement and retention.
HR Operations
  • Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems to support business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all jurisdictions where we operate.
  • Manage employee records, contracts, and performance evaluations.
Culture & Employee Engagement
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff on all people-related matters.
  • Plan and execute initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Learning & Development
  • Identify training and development needs across the organization.
  • Implement programs that promote growth, learning, and leadership development.
Strategic HR Planning
  • Partner with leadership to forecast workforce needs and align HR strategies with company objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve organizational structure, compensation, and benefits.
Who You Are
  • Experienced Generalist: You have 5+ years of experience in HR, covering all facets of the function, with a strong focus on recruitment and headhunting.
  • Compensation Strategist: Proven expertise in designing and implementing competitive compensation structures, including performance-based bonuses.
  • Recruitment Expert: Proven ability to attract and hire top talent for various roles, especially in tech and event management sectors.
  • Builder: You thrive on creating processes, structures, and systems from scratch in a growing company.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
  • Cultural Champion: Passionate about building and nurturing a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in both English and French (preferred).
