Responsible for the financial strategy and oversight of the organization across a designated group of countries. This role is critical in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and supporting the organization's strategic objectives. will lead and mentor finance teams across multiple counties, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and growth initiatives, ensuring effective allocation of resources. They will analyze financial performance, identify risks, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives across the market unit. - Lead the preparation of long-term financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making. - Oversea the accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial statements and reporting for the group of companies at group level. - Oversea financial regulatory reporting and full compliance for the banking entity. - Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), unions and works councils. - Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective resource allocation. - Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and corrective actions as needed. - Identify and assess financial risks across the region, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks. - Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure financial integrity. - Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple countries, promoting a culture of excellence and high performance. - Implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of finance staff. - Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights that support business strategies and decisions. - Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. - Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate financial performance and operational efficiency. - Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations, implementing best practices for efficiency. - Assess and support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and market expansion efforts. - Oversee capital budgeting processes and ensure effective allocation of resources to support growth opportunities. Measures of Success - YOY revenue increase across the market - Improvement in gross / net profit margins vs target - Financial forecasting accuracy - Quality external relationships with auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies - Meeting or exceeding KPIs related to financial performance, compliance, and effectiveness including P&L leadership, balance sheet management, driving free cash flow etc

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities - Knowledge of local tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements - Capacity to develop and implement long-term financial strategies that align with organizational goals. - Skills in leading and mentoring diverse finance teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. - Ability to make informed, data-driven decisions that balance short-term performance with long-term strategic goals. Qualifications : - Education : Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus. - Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA Experience : - 10+ years of experience leading commercial finance teams and experience driving change in globally matrixed organisations - Previous experience leading finance teams within regulated financial services and banking and real estate - Experience of driving change and process improvement - Agile working and leading through change - Strong people leadership and ability influence and engage at all levels. - Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key information : - Location : Paris, France - Languages : English, French and other European languages desirable - Full-time - Travel across France with some Europe & global meetings - Flexible work hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
