Job summary

Amazon Data Services France SAS is seeking a CFD/Thermal Simulation Engineer to develop advanced 3D CFD and thermal models for predicting and optimizing the SST’s thermal performance. You’ll build conjugate heat-transfer models and work with mechanical and PE teams to deliver design improvements.

The role emphasizes correlating simulations with measurements, analyzing hotspots, and validating models across variable load and ambient conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience correlating models with laboratory measurements.
• Experience documenting design decisions, assumptions, trade-offs, risks and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D thermal simulations using Icepak, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, Simcenter or equivalent tools.
• Model heat transfer through power electronics, cooling interfaces and system assemblies.
• Evaluate thermal distribution, hotspots and cooling-system performance.
• Develop thermal-resistance models and junction-to-coolant analyses.
• Correlate simulation results with experimental measurements and refine models.
