Job summary

Latitude is seeking a motivated thermal engineering intern to join our team in France. You will benchmark tools against 3D finite element models and 1D multiphysics software, add export formats, and study new correlations while exploring material and function development in thermal analyses.

You will work autonomously with multiple interlocutors across departments and gain insight into launcher thermal problematics and CFD/3D finite element tools.

Qualifications

• Educational background in thermal engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of thermal theory and programming (Python, VBA).
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Benchmark existing tools against 3D finite element models (Nx Thermal / Star CCM+) and/or 1D multiphysics software (ECOSIM Pro / AMESIM).
• Add file export output format compatible with Nx Thermal.
• Conduct bibliography studies to identify better correlations for future use.
• Implement new materials and functions, including 1D heat exchanger pre-dimensioning and stabilized thermal models.
