The City of Natchez seeks a Certified Police Officer to join the Natchez Police Department. Beginning salary is $38,613.12 annually, plus step raise, educational pay, and uniforms, with benefits including health insurance, life insurance, paid leave, state retirement, and holidays.

Applicants must meet all hiring qualifications, be at least 21, and furnish driving privileges; GED acceptable, pass physical, drug screening, and a satisfactory psychological evaluation. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school graduate (GED acceptable).
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• If any military service, must have been discharged under honorable conditions.
• Pass physical examination.
• Pass drug screening.
• Receive satisfactory psychological evaluation.
• Certified Officer will be compensated for up to Ten (10) years of continuous Law Enforcement Service.
