Job Description :

A vacancy for a Certification Qualification Engineer Tiger Program has arisen within Airbus Helicopters. You will join the Airworthiness Office of Airbus Helicopters in Marignane and become part of the Chief Airworthiness Engineer's (CAE) Team for the Tiger Program to support the safety of our products by managing the Certification, Qualification, and initial Airworthiness activities for your program. This includes new helicopter type certification, changes to existing helicopter type certificates, and flight clearances.

Each project involves various contributors (Chief Engineering, designers, internal and external specialists, customer support, prototype shop, Final Assembly Line). As Certification Qualification Engineer, you will be the focal point for the Airworthiness Authorities, negotiating certification basis, strategy, means of compliance (lab/ground/flight testing, Safety analysis), and authority involvement (document acceptance, test witnessing, in-house reviews).

You will be responsible for demonstrating compliance with applicable airworthiness requirements to ensure in-service safety. Leading certification and qualification activities to meet project milestones, you will have a broad overview of our products, systems, and organization. This position requires security clearance or eligibility for one.

Task & accountabilities :

Your mission is to perform certification and qualification activities for the Tiger Helicopter in an international environment with industrial partners, within the Chief Airworthiness Engineer Tiger / NH90 team. You will mainly work on Tiger Fleet certification projects and will:

• Influence and contribute to the harmonization of future qualification offers.
• Identify and define the certification/qualification basis for future Tiger evolutions.
• Define certification/qualification logic, elaborate and harmonize plans, identify Means of Compliance, and demonstrate compliance.
• Coordinate creation and delivery of compliance demonstrations, validate them, and produce synthesis documents.
• Approve design changes under DOA privileges based on experience as CQE.
• Validate repairs, modifications, and contribute to obtaining permits to fly.
• Coordinate with Flight Test, Design Office, Program, Production, and Authorities.
• Promote roles, responsibilities, and processes internally and externally.
• Manage a transversal team for certification/qualification projects.

Required skills :

• 5+ years' degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, certification experience is a plus.
• Project management experience.
• Good communication skills and negotiation comfort.
• Fluent in English and French.
