Job Description:

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

Introduction

With increasing demands and new regulations, certification becomes more important. We are a central function in product development, gaining a global view of automotive influence on society. We seek passionate individuals with at least 3 years of experience in certification, eager to drive certification activities.

This role is within a group focused on technological challenges, promoting performance and competitiveness for Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks brands. As part of a team of about 10 diverse professionals, your responsibilities will include planning and performing certification testing with European authorities, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring timely certification following our global process across multiple areas.

You will manage certification requirements, compile technical documentation, execute certification plans, and handle approvals for various systems such as fuel tanks, towing equipment, underrun protections, and CO2 audits. You may also oversee CO2 monitoring activities in a subsequent phase, working closely with teams in Gothenburg, Sweden, and traveling within France and abroad.

About you

You should have at least 3 years of experience, technical knowledge in vehicle certification and domain-specific standards, and the ability to organize and lead negotiations with partners and auditors. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, fluency in French and English, and teamwork skills in multicultural environments. Personal traits include curiosity, initiative, communication skills, networking ability, and practical and theoretical engineering knowledge in vehicle regulation and certification processes.

Our team and culture

Vehicle Certification & Compliance is part of the Complete Vehicle organization within GTT, with teams located worldwide, including Gothenburg and Lyon. The Lyon team handles certification and type approval for Renault Heavy Duty and Renault & Volvo Medium Duty trucks, ensuring products meet legal requirements for various markets.

We offer numerous advantages at Volvo Group, emphasizing well-being, professionalism, and inclusion. We value diversity and encourage applications even if you do not meet every qualification, as we believe in potential and growth.

Joining Volvo Group means contributing to sustainable, safe, and efficient transport solutions globally, with opportunities to work on innovative projects and technologies that shape the future of transportation.
