ArcelorMittal has a firm commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. The use of scrap steel is one of the levers to lower CO2 emissions from steelmaking. To support this, BD Recycling was created in 2022 as a new division. Our strategy is to guarantee opportunities in the scrap market to establish ArcelorMittal as a key player in metal recycling while securing the necessary scrap volumes to underpin our decarbonization efforts.

We are seeking a dedicated CEO for France to develop our scrap business in the French market through greenfield projects and acquisitions. This position reports to the CEO of the Business Division Recycling.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement the metal recycling business strategy for the French market in collaboration with BD Business Development Management.
• Coordinate and execute strategy through greenfield projects and acquisitions with regional management teams.
• Participate in greenfield project implementation, managing technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects with the CTO team.
• Leverage network and market knowledge to identify acquisition targets or potential partners.
• Manage and support regional teams to achieve their objectives.
• Develop and monitor budgets, including investments, EBITDA, cash flow, ROCE, materials, and human resources.
• Ensure proper integration of new acquisitions and adherence to AM Group procedures.
• Analyze activity data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
• Maintain effective communication with BD Recycling management and stakeholders.
• Promote health & safety policies within local teams.

Qualifications:

• Significant professional leadership experience.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of recycling industry practices and market dynamics in France; experience in waste management or metal recycling is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, with ambition to develop business from scratch.
• Results-oriented with a strong performance record in driving profitability.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
