ROLE
As a Senior Designer for the show Womenswear, you will play a key role in defining Lacoste’s future collections, especially in the woven and jersey segments. Your work will influence the aesthetic and functionality of products and contribute to the brand’s commercial success by balancing creativity and market demands. Through leadership, creative input, and collaboration with key stakeholders, you will help shape Lacoste’s womenswear offering for the global market. Reporting directly to the Head of Design for Womenswear, this role is strategic in shaping Lacoste’s identity.
MISSIONS PRINCIPALES
As a senior member of the design studio, you are expected to innovate within the brand’s framework while introducing fresh ideas and new codes, contributing to the evolution of Lacoste’s womenswear. You will be the creative driver behind the woven and jersey collections, ensuring they reflect Lacoste’s DNA while remaining commercially viable and adaptable to market demands.

Key Missions and Responsibilities :
1. Creative Leadership and Collection Development
You will drive the creative process within womenswear, ensuring each season’s collection aligns with Lacoste’s aesthetic while introducing innovative ideas. Responsibilities include:

2. Material and Trims Selection
This involves choosing fabrics, trims, and accessories that meet Lacoste’s price, quality, and design standards. Responsibilities include:
3. Document Creation and Presentation
Translating creative ideas into detailed sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards for internal and external presentations. Also producing high-quality visuals for design reviews and pitches, including mockups and prototypes, and updating documents after fittings.
4. Fittings and Photoshoot Involvement
Participating in fittings to ensure construction and fit align with the creative vision, and contributing to photoshoot styling to capture the collection’s essence.
5. Supplier Collaboration and International Travel
Traveling to Euromed twice a year to meet suppliers, ensuring production standards, material quality, and development of showpieces. Building strong supplier relationships and addressing production challenges.
6. Leading and Mentoring a Design Team
Managing a junior designer and intern, overseeing their tasks, providing feedback, and fostering collaboration. Setting the creative direction for womenswear and ensuring project completion.
7. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Working closely with Product, Marketing, Creative Office, and Graphics teams to ensure designs align with brand strategy, marketing goals, and reflect Lacoste’s distinctive style.
