About the Role

We are looking for a future Director to work on the "Functionals" platform for the Plant-Based category. This crucial role will manage global R&I projects, develop R&I roadmaps, and co-create category strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong R&D background, strategic mindset, and critical thinking skills.

This CDI (permanent contract) will be based in Gif (91) at the Danone Global Research & Innovation Center. You will report to the VP R&I Categories FMCG.

Main Responsibilities

• Co-develop Category Strategies:
• Collaborate with global Plant-Based teams to co-build strategies for the "Functionals" platform.
• Cascade the global strategy across R&I, ensuring effective communication and implementation.

• Shape R&I Pipelines and Leverage S&T Assets:
• Translate global roadmaps into actionable pipelines.
• Integrate insights from S&T assets and projects into strategies and pipelines.
• Co-build patent strategies with MNS and Advanced Tech teams.

• Lead Global Projects and Facilitate Transfer:
• Collaborate with teams to deliver proof of concept and successful project outcomes.
• Co-build briefs with Zones for successful roll-out and adaptation.
• Maintain product standards for the platform, including Danone Impact Journey and nutritional standards.

• Promote Knowledge Sharing:
• Share insights and foster collaboration between R&I and global categories.
• Bring regional insights to global teams.
• Share best practices and promote a collaborative R&I community.

About You

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.

• At least 12 years of experience in R&D roles, including strategic positions at global and regional levels.

• Strategic and critical thinking skills.

• Deep understanding of consumer behavior.

• Experience leading transformation projects and managing change.

• Excellent stakeholder influence and communication skills.

• Leadership experience in cross-functional teams.

• Extensive knowledge in science, technology, and nutrition relevant to the platform.

• Strong business acumen, including financial literacy and market understanding.

• Fluency in English is essential.
