Qualifications

• 5+ ans d'expérience dans l'industrie alimentaire avec des compétences en méthodes d'analyse.
• Expérience en audit interne et gestion de laboratoire.

• Conduire des audits de laboratoire selon les exigences ISO 17025.
• Gérer des projets multi-parties prenantes liés à l'excellence analytique.

Short Intro and About the Job

Within the Global Quality and Food Safety (QFS) organization, the mission of the Analytical Excellence is to develop a highly responsive and reliable Quality and Food Safety laboratory network, gathering internal and external capabilities, to deal with all analytical related needs, from emerging topics to regulatory requirements, to protect the consumers and patients trusting our brands.

Part of the Analytical Excellence team, we are looking for a laboratory specialist for Dairy and Plant-based (DPB) categories.

Responsibilities

Laboratory audits

• Contribute to the definition of lab audit standard & program (design technical lab standards, update audit requirements, action plan trackers…)
• Conduct laboratory audit in Danone factories, according to ISO 17025 requirements
• Drive lab QMS self-assessment campaigns for DPB scope
• Support and follow action plans following audits / self-assessment

Be the point of contact for analytical methods related to QFS parameters analysis (Physico-chemistry, sensory, allergens…) for Danone Dairy and Plant-based categories.

Proficiency Testing

• Assess results of Proficiency test and support the root cause analysis in case of failure
• Identify recurrent gaps and drive global action plan

Support QFS lab managers in the day-to-day requests linked to their Quality Management System:

• Technical support, in relation with experts in AE
• Implementation of analytical method verification on site, according to AE procedure
• New equipment/supplier selection

Standardization of analytical methods and relating quality documents

• Participate to the documents review and identify the missing procedure, working instruction, template…
• In relation with the experts, lead the publication of new/updated analytical working instruction for factory laboratories
• Provide training for all new guidelines, standards and procedures released by Analytical Excellence

Manage multi-stakeholder projects related to Analytical Excellence by:

• Working in compliance with the Quality Management System
• Application of the appropriate project management tools to ensure timely and quality delivery
• Building and maintaining an active internal network to enable a mind-set change in terms of analytics
• Actively participating in AE cross-category projects
• Forming strong connections with our business stakeholders based in other centers, i.e. the Netherlands, USA, China

Main relationships:

• Quality and Food Safety function: Analytical functions, Central Laboratories, factory laboratories, Quality in Operations and Quality in Design
• Research and Innovation (R&I)
• External: Main Danone Analytical External Partners; Analytical instrumentation Suppliers

Be one Analytical Excellence representative for Dairy and Plant-based businesses.

About You

The role requires:

• Master or above, in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or related field
• Strong competencies in the areas of analytical testing methods, practical laboratory experience and laboratory management and ISO17025
• Internal and/or external auditing experience
• 5+ years of experience in food industry or relevant global environment, with experience working with production facilities and laboratories
• Strong understanding of method validation and verification
• Ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects cross geography and cross function
• Leadership abilities to drive stakeholder engagement

The position is based in Evian (France), several travels abroad are expected every year (up to 30%).
