The Senior Category Manager is responsible for the strategy and development of its brand portfolio, implementing the appropriate on- and off-line offering, and driving its activation within the EME region to achieve revenue targets.

You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions :

STRATEGY

  • Analyze the market, track trends, and set Sephora's priorities to drive customers to the brand and create differentiation.
  • Manage the brand portfolio by maximizing sales, while ensuring profitability and good inventory management with the right mix of brands and products.
  • Be responsible for effectively communicating the strategy to the 21 markets, having the ability to convince and simplify, as well as monitor the successful execution of the brand portfolio.

OFFER AND MERCHANDISING

  • Develop brands and ensure their successful expression in Sephora activation plans.
  • Seek out new brands to nurture Sephora's image as a category destination.
  • Be the driving force behind new concepts to enhance the offer and optimize all business levers (KCP, services, sets, etc.).

CATEGORY MANAGEMENT / OPTIMIZATION

  • Improve and optimize assortment.
  • Track monthly budgets of all brands in the portfolio.
  • Provide recommendations for discontinuation and end-of-life follow-up.
  • Make distribution recommendations to increase productivity and track changes.
  • Participate in pricing & discount strategies in coordination with the RGM.
  • Manage new product forecasts at the regional level.

CROSS-CUTTING PROJECTS

Reporting directly to the Makeup Brands Director Europe, the senior category manager will demonstrate agility in managing cross-functional projects aimed at maximizing the visibility and performance of the category, especially intra-category and global projects for the Offer on the extra-category part.

You will work closely with Supply Chain, marketing, BPM, legal teams, while ensuring and defending your interests and issues related to your category and brands.

Qualifications and qualities required include:

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in retail or digital marketing, with a good understanding of the category.
  • University or business school education.
  • International profile (fluent English required).
  • Key skills: organizational leadership, rigor, proactivity, action-oriented, ability to manage multiple subjects, analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valued qualities: product expertise, passion, excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, initiative, curiosity, autonomy, negotiation skills.
