Job summary

Sephora in the Orléans area of France is seeking a Temporary General Accountant for a 6-month renewable contract. You will manage accounting records across IFRS, VAT, and corporate taxes, while collaborating with A/P, A/R, Treasury and Controlling teams.

The role requires a higher education in accounting (DUT/BTS/DCG), at least 2 years in international environments, SAP and advanced Excel skills, and working English. Fluency in French is implied locally.

Qualifications

• Higher education in accounting (DUT/BTS/DCG) required.
• At least 2 years of experience in an international environment, ideally in retail.
• Proficiency in SAP is essential.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PivotTables).
• Working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reports in IFRS format, including balance sheet analysis.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Prepare other tax returns (CET, CVAE, C3S, TVTS, corporate income tax).
• Contribute to budget reports (Pre-budget, Budget, R1 and R2).
• Import payroll interface data and analyze payroll accounts.
• Import bank interface data and perform bank reconciliations.
• Monitor provisions for risks and document routine and exceptional provisions.
• Calculate and record corporate income tax and deferred taxes.

This role is located in Saran (Orléans area), and is a 6 month renewable contract.

As part of the five-person General Accounting team, you will manage all or part of the accounting records for one or more entities, working closely with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Controlling teams of the SEPHORA Group’s EME region (13 companies, including SEPHORA SAS).

You will support the preparation and/or monitoring of tax returns for all entities managed by the VDL shared services centre (13 companies, including SEPHORA SAS).

You will also support the preparation of the annual tax reporting packages for SEPHORA SAS and SEPHORA COLLECTION.

You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions :

• Prepare monthly reports in the LVMH Group format (IFRS standards), including balance sheet analysis;
• Prepare and review VAT returns;
• Prepare all other tax returns: CET, CVAE, C3S, TVTS, other miscellaneous taxes and corporate income tax;
• Contribute to the preparation of budget reports (Pre-budget, Budget, R1 and R2).
• Import payroll interface data and analyze all payroll and personnel accounts;
• Import bank interface data and perform bank reconciliations;
• Monitor provisions for risks (calculate and document routine and exceptional provisions);
• Calculate and record corporate income tax and deferred taxes.

• Proficiency in SAP is essential.
• Advanced EXCEL skills are required (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PivotTables, etc.)
• Working proficiency in English
• Knowledge of international accounting standards would be an asset.
