About the Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering (CBS)

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering Department (CBS) is a component of UM6P. The main objective of CBS is to set up a distinctive research-teaching program of international level to meet the research and teaching challenges of UM6P, on green and environmental chemistry applied to all aspects of chemical sciences.

Job Description

CBS is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our faculty as a Professor in Acidic Concentrated Solutions Chemistry, particularly chemistry related to Phosphoric Acid. The successful candidate will contribute to UM6P's commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation by engaging in cutting-edge research, delivering high-quality instruction, and actively participating in the development of innovative solutions in this field.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Excellence: Conduct innovative and impactful research in Acidic Concentrated solutions chemistry (Phosphoric Acid) with a focus on green and sustainable processes. Collaborate with other faculty members, research teams, and external institutions to address real-world challenges.

Teaching and Mentorship: Deliver high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and potentially graduate levels in Acidic Concentrated solutions chemistry and related areas. Develop and implement engaging course materials and provide mentorship and guidance to students.

Research Funding: Actively seek external funding opportunities to support research initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues to prepare grant proposals and lead research projects that align with UM6P's research priorities.

Candidate Criteria

  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry or Electrochemistry (solution chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field focused on the chemistry of concentrated acid solutions).
  • A strong track record of high-quality research demonstrated through publications in reputable journals and securing research funding.
  • Teaching experience or demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the university level.
  • Experience with sustainable and green chemistry concepts is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to research, innovation, and education aligned with UM6P's mission.
