Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a CV Invasive Specialist I to support cardiac catheterization procedures. The role requires independent judgment, proctoring, and adherence to ACVP or NASPE standards. A sign-on bonus of $20,000 is offered where applicable.

Shift details include full-time 40 hours with 10‑hour days and on-call shifts at Saint Joseph Hospital. You will work with a dedicated clinical team focused on top patient care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health science or allied field.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program.
• Diploma/associate with one year health care experience in Cath Lab/EP.
• Graduate of non-programmatic invasive cardiovascular tech program with 800 hours.

Responsibilities

• Participate in procedure room preparation and post procedure turnover.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies including inventory control and hemodynamic documentation.
• Provide patient education and emotional support; ensure patient comfort and teamwork.
• Understand cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, and anatomy relevant to procedures.
• Understand x‑ray generation and safety; operate imaging equipment.
• May assist with medication administration under physician supervision.
• Apply closure devices or hemostasis as needed after procedures.
• Document procedures and events accurately.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment; perform QA.
